Mood board

After our first conversation and the questionnaire, it was clear to me that she wanted a circular logo using the warm, bright colors of Cyprus, with a sunset on a beach scene. The company name and the establishment date are very important to her, so I will need to incorporate them into the logo design.

I presented the moodboard on a Zoom call, including color suggestions and font types.

Rough Sketches

I created 3 different versions focusing on the company name, date, and a beach scene. Anna chose the 2nd option.

I had my doubts about this design because the lettering is so dominant that I had to keep the background simple to avoid overwhelming the whole design. This logo felt too retro, a little dull, too simple, and too light in her eyes. Which I have to agree.

So we decided to go back to the rough sketches and work on the 3rd version. Incorporate a little sea life and change the curvy shapes of the waves to more pointy ones. We also agreed during our Zoom call that she would like to see more dark linework and gradients in the logo design.

Final logo

The final logo was a success! I presented the logo over a Zoom call, and we played with different layers showing how the vibe of the logo changes, adding more white line work and less dark. In the end, she really loved the design below, with dark linework and a little sea life in the bottom left.

Upon agreeing on the final design, I sent the files to Anna.
